Following the 1981 season, this national points division was completely restructured and statistics reset into what is now known as the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series. Because the series from 1982 onward is statistically separate, we here at The Third Turn have the series in separate centrals accordingly. However, it should be noted that NASCAR does at times consider that series as a continuation of this one. Currently, we have a champions list, limited amount of points standings, and thousands of races across the 32 years of this division's existence. In the future, we would like to divide these races up into a more appropriate local track division structure, and keep this central for final points standings only since this division was similar in structure to a modern-day NASCAR Weekly Series division.
