| From 1991 onward (sans 1993), due to the large number of entries, the Chili Bowl Nationals have held anywhere from 1 to 5 qualifying night events before the main events on Saturday. Those who finish high enough in these races qualify directly into the A-Main on Saturday, while those who did not finish high enough had to attempt to make the Saturday A-Main by means of the Saturday Prelim Mains. | |
