| As of December 2021, we have added as much information about the history of this, Australia's largest racing series, into our statistical database. The series started as a one-off race in the 1960s, a "title" race typical of how Australia crowns national champions. When it evolved into a touring series in the 1970s, not all races' full rundowns have been located and that is the only gap missing in our history. By the 80s, with better record keeping and increasing prestige, the complete history of the tour forward to present day is available. | |
