Do we trust people on racing reference for missing info on stuff? Tigerman (talk) 11:57, 28 November 2020 (UTC)

If racing reference's main page for the driver says some information, then it's as trustworthy as we're probably going to get. As for the comments pages, there are a few users who are trying their best and over time you'll see who those are. I trust those users too. JMSF32 (talk) 21:00, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
some info can be trusted, but some of it is hit and miss on what is actually correct, i use multiple sources, sometimes there is a conflict to what is shown elsewhere and what they have, a good site to trust is ultimate racing history, http://www.ultimateracinghistory.com/index.htmOldschoolracing519 (talk) 21:37, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

Problem

The races shown in 1973 ARCA Racing Series Central are actually for 1973 Grand National East Series Central, ex. #4 is actually #8, etc. Is there any way to fix this problem? Tigerman (talk) 14:04, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Seems okay to me, perhaps if there was a problem it's already fixed? I know that a lot of the weirdness, specifically from some of the older NASCAR/ARCA stuff comes from the code being ancient and quite a bit of it still needs updated. Been slowly going at it over time myself. JMSF32 (talk) 21:00, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

As JMSF32 said, its the old code still used on some of the older races, its on my things to do list, but there is thousands of races like that. The Older races need updated to the new code and then the season page needs updated, etc. Eventually it will be all fixed, I have one more series I want to get entered here on the site, then I have 1 series i had started way back that i really should go and finish then I was going to go start working on updating older races.Oldschoolracing519 (talk) 21:36, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

iRacing

Does the eNASCAR Coca Cola Series count on here or no? Tigerman (talk) 20:40, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

I've pondered this myself too. I personally decide on 'no' every time since, well, it's not real :). I see the point though because it does have a point fund and official series status. Course then if we open the site up to virtual racing it could be quite the heft to do because of all there is (iRacing, Heat, etc.), and the variety of issues it could bring. Just my 2 cents. JMSF32 (talk) 21:00, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

I was thinking for iRacing it would be "official" series, like NASCAR or IndyCar (if they even have one). Tigerman (talk) 21:07, 2 January 2021 (UTC)

I have thought about this to, but its something i keep saying no to just because of its virtual, it might have a point series and fund, but I just dont think its something needed here.Oldschoolracing519 (talk) 21:36, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
