In June 2023, The Third Turn finished adding the complete statistical history of this series into our database. The Japan Le Mans Challenge was created by SERO, and run under sanctioning from the ACO, and followed the 24 Hours of Le Mans rules. Due to a lack of participants and low ticket sales, the series was abandoned after 2007. A couple years after this series' folding, the Asian Le Mans Series was founded as a successor.
